In a statement shared Monday on X, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said that Russia was “completely ignoring the offer of a full and durable ceasefire starting on May 12,” referring to a proposal put forward by Ukraine and supported by its Western allies.

“They continue to attack Ukrainian positions all along the frontline,” Sybiga added, following a virtual meeting with international partners.
The ceasefire was intended to reduce fighting and allow for humanitarian efforts, but Ukrainian officials say there has been no sign of de-escalation from the Russian side. The front line remains active across multiple regions, with reports of shelling and drone strikes continuing into the week.
