Child dies after playing with shotgun in Jordan

A 4-year-old boy died Wednesday morning after accidentally shooting himself with a pump-action shotgun while playing with the weapon at his family’s home, according to a security source who spoke to Roya.

The incident occurred when the child was reportedly handling the firearm, which discharged and struck him directly. He was transported to Badiya Government Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The firearm, identified as a pump-action shotgun, was seized as part of the ongoing probe.
