'Israeli' warplanes bombed Sanaa International Airport on Tuesday, according to Houthi-affiliated media, just an hour after a warning was issued to those near the site.

The strike came in retaliation for a missile attack by Yemen’s Houthi forces on 'Israel’s' Ben Gurion Airport two days earlier.

Among the sites targeted were the central Dhahban power station in the Bani al-Harith district of northern Sanaa and a cement factory in Amran governorate.

The raids also hit oil facilities, fuel depots, and Sanaa International Airport—less than an hour after 'Israel' issued a warning to evacuate the area.

The 'Israeli' military had announced earlier that its fighter jets were heading toward the Yemeni capital to target the airport. Around the same time, 'Israeli' media reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu abruptly left his trial to head to military headquarters.

The escalation follows Sunday’s missile strike on Ben Gurion Airport, which the Houthis claimed was carried out using a hypersonic ballistic missile. The Israeli army confirmed that a missile was launched from Yemen and landed near the country’s main international airport, despite multiple interception attempts.

Meanwhile, 'Israeli' airstrikes on Monday night targeted the port city of Hodeidah, killing four people and injuring 39, according to the Houthi-controlled health ministry.

Three people were reportedly killed and 35 injured in an airstrike on a cement factory in the Bajil district, while a fourth person died and four others were wounded in a separate strike on the city’s main port, according to figures cited by Agence France-Presse.

The Houthis claimed the strikes were carried out jointly by Israel and the United States. However, while Israel confirmed its role in the attacks, a U.S. official denied any American involvement. The Israeli military said its airstrikes targeted Houthi infrastructure in western Yemen.

This is the fifth time 'Israel' has publicly acknowledged carrying out strikes in Yemen since July 2024.

The latest attacks followed the Houthis’ announcement on Monday that they had successfully targeted “Ben Gurion Airport in occupied Jaffa” with a hypersonic ballistic missile.
