Weather forecast: Warnings of dust, rain as temperatures drop in Jordan

Jordan's Meteorological Department is forecasting mild spring conditions across most regions in the coming days, with a chance of scattered showers on Thursday and continued dusty conditions in parts of the eastern and southeastern desert.

A significant drop in temperatures is expected during the day, bringing them closer to seasonal averages. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy, and scattered showers—possibly accompanied by thunder—are expected in western parts of the Kingdom.

Dusty conditions will persist in eastern and southeastern regions, with a chance of localized thundershowers in the afternoon.

By night, temperatures will lean toward cool across most areas, while remaining mild in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Reduced horizontal visibility due to dust, particularly in eastern and southeastern areas
Risk of slippery roads during rainfall
Advisory for respiratory patients due to dust in the atmosphere

Friday and Saturday

Mild temperatures will persist throughout most regions, with warm conditions expected in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Skies will feature varying cloud cover at different altitudes, and winds will be moderate northwesterlies, occasionally active.

Nighttime conditions will remain relatively cool across much of the country and mild in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba.

Mild weather will continue across most areas, turning relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with medium to high clouds appearing throughout the day.

In the evening and overnight hours, cloud cover is expected to increase, with a chance of light rain in northern and central regions, possibly extending to parts of the south and east.

Winds may become active at times in the eastern regions, stirring up dust.
