VIDEO - Delta flight evacuated after engine fire at Orlando Airport

A Delta Air Lines flight at Orlando International Airport had its engine catch fire while the plane was on the tarmac.

Passengers were forced to evacuate.

Footage shared online shows smoke and flames coming from the right engine as passengers used emergency slides to exit.

Delta Flight 1213 was preparing to depart for Atlanta with nearly 300 people on board when the incident occurred. No injuries have been reported.

Orlando airport confirmed the evacuation and said its emergency response teams acted quickly. Delta stated the Airbus A330 was carrying 282 passengers, 10 flight attendants, and two pilots, and that the cabin was evacuated as a precaution after flames were spotted.

Video from the terminal showed passengers on the tarmac alongside emergency vehicles. Delta apologized and emphasized that passenger safety is their top priority.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
