A statement released by Netanyahu's office said the two leaders spoke by phone and that Netanyahu expressed to Macron his "strong opposition to the establishment of a Palestinian state, stating that it would be a huge reward for terrorism".
Macron told his counterpart that the suffering of Gazan civilians “must end” and that only a ceasefire in Gaza should free the remaining “Israeli” captives – according to a post by Macron on X.
He also called for “the opening of all humanitarian aid crossings" into the besieged Strip.
