Landslide hits northern Jordan

A Roya correspondent reported a mountain landslide on the Al-Shajara - Al-Mughayyir road, which connects Irbid Governorate to the villages of the Hauran Plain in the Ramtha District.

The correspondent noted that no injuries were reported as a result of the landslide.

Residents of the area and local authorities are calling for measures to address the issue, whether by reinforcing landslide-prone areas or constructing retaining walls to prevent similar incidents in the future.
