The 'Israeli' military has launched an airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut, marking the first such attack since the ceasefire on November 27.

The airstrike followed a series of warning raids carried out earlier.

According to Roya’s correspondent on Friday, 'Israeli' aircraft targeted the southern suburbs after issuing a prior warning. This attack comes after 'Israeli' officials, including Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, stated that there would be no peace in Beirut without peace in the Galilee.

Earlier, 'Israeli' military spokesperson Avichai Adraee warned residents of the southern Beirut neighborhood of Hayy al-Hadath to evacuate buildings near Hezbollah positions, cautioning that these locations could be targeted soon.

The Lebanese army has since closed roads leading to the threatened site in the southern suburbs, while Israeli forces carried out a second warning strike.

The rising tensions along the Lebanese-Israeli border have sparked concerns about the potential resumption of hostilities between the two sides following the fragile ceasefire that took effect several months ago.
