"Shaved Her Head and Killed Her": New details revealed in Jordan murder

A woman in her forties was killed by her husband in Zarqa, Jordan, who strangled her with both hands after repeatedly beating her with blunt objects inside their home.

This was not the first time the victim had suffered abuse, according to an investigation source, as an autopsy revealed multiple blunt force trauma marks on various parts of her body, showing a combination of both old and new injuries.

The source told Roya that the husband admitted during the investigation that the crime was the result of family disputes, linked to complaints made by both parties to the Family Protection Department.

Additionally, forensic doctors who conducted the autopsy at Zarqa Governmental Hospital discovered that the victim's hair had been shaved by her husband. Her body also showed signs of multiple blows to the face, chest, and body, and marks of strangulation around her neck.

The prosecutor charged the husband with premeditated murder and decided to detain him for 15 days, subject to renewal, at the rehabilitation and correction center.

The Public Security Directorate confirmed the arrest of the husband, who had fled the scene after committing the crime.

In an official statement, the security authorities said, "A man assaulted his wife early this morning inside their home in Zarqa, resulting in her death."
