'Israeli' warplanes launched intense sudden airstrikes across Gaza early Tuesday, killing over 400 people, including children, and injuring others.
More than 100 wounded arrived at Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat as strikes targeted homes in Beit Hanoun, Deir al-Balah, and Zeitoun. Bombing also hit areas near Al-Tabeen and Al-Rafai schools in northern Gaza.
Despite a ceasefire being in place, 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office confirmed the resumption of the war, effectively ending the truce.
Hamas condemned the escalation, accusing Netanyahu and his government of violating the ceasefire agreement and resuming what they called a "genocide" against civilians. They called for international intervention and accountability, urging the United Nations and Arab organizations to act.

The Lebanese group said it “strongly condemns” the resumption of war, saying that the “Israeli” government, with Netanyahu at the helm, reignited the war in coordination with the Trump administration.
“The Zionist enemy, which has failed to break the will of the resistance after 15 months of brutal war, will not succeed in achieving through renewed aggression what it has already failed to accomplish.
It will not erase the just Palestinian cause or force its people from their land,” the statement concluded.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi met today with the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET), the Mashreq countries relations committee, and several members of the Committee on International Trade (INTA). The discussions focused on Jordan's financial assistance package.
Safadi, joined by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, addressed the need to strengthen Jordanian-European partnerships and discussed regional developments.
He thanked MP David McAllister, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee, and other members for the European Parliament's ongoing support for Jordan. Safadi emphasized the importance of signing the strategic partnership agreement during King Abdullah II's visit to the EU on January 29, 2025.
He highlighted key aspects of the agreement and associated aid packages, stressing the need to implement the roadmap for activating the new agreement, which aims to expand cooperation in political, economic, security, and refugee matters.
Safadi expressed gratitude for the European Parliament's support of the first 500 million euro assistance package, which will be voted on in the coming months. He urged swift action on the second 500 million euro package, which has been approved by the European Commission and is expected to be reviewed before the end of the year.

Safadi informed the committees about the impact of regional crises on Jordan, emphasizing the need for ongoing international support to address refugee needs.
He condemned "Israel's" renewed aggression against Gaza and warned of the humanitarian consequences of continued conflict and obstruction of aid. Safadi stressed the importance of adhering to the ceasefire agreement facilitated by Egypt, Qatar, and the US.
He asserted that a just peace, based on a two-state solution, is essential for security for all parties. In response to a question, he noted that Arab nations collectively guarantee "Israel's" security within the framework of this peace.
Safadi also discussed the humanitarian fallout from the aggression on Gaza and warned against "Israeli" settlement expansion undermining the two-state solution.
He emphasized the need to support Syria in rebuilding on foundations that ensure unity and sovereignty while preserving the rights of all its people. He praised the EU's Brussels Conference to support Syria as a significant step in this direction.

"Fighting in Gaza fully coordinated with US," says Israeli Occupation
The Israeli Occupation confirmed on Tuesday that the strikes carried out in the Gaza Strip were conducted in "full coordination" with its ally, the United States.
This followed airstrikes that resulted in hundreds of casualties and were unprecedented in their intensity and scope since the ceasefire with Hamas began in January.
Israeli Occupation government spokesman David Mencer stated during a press briefing, “I can confirm that the return to intense fighting in Gaza has been fully coordinated with Washington."
He also expressed gratitude to US President Donald Trump and his administration, acknowledging their unwavering support for "Israel" during this period of renewed aggression.
"Israelis" accuse government of neglecting captives amid renewed attacks in Gaza
The "Israeli" Hostages and Missing Families Forum has issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli Occupation government, accusing it of abandoning efforts to secure the release of captives held by Hamas after resuming airstrikes in Gaza.
The forum expressed its members' “shock, anger, and terror” at what they perceive as a deliberate collapse of negotiations aimed at bringing their loved ones home.
In their statement, the forum warned that renewing military operations before securing the release of the 59 captives still in Gaza could jeopardize their safety. “The Israeli government has refused to declare an end to the war in order to advance the next stages of the deal and bring back all the hostages,” the statement read.
Einav Zangauker, the mother of captive Matan Zangauker, called for mass protests and demanded an end to military actions in Gaza. In a Facebook post, she announced her plans to travel to Nir Oz in southern "Israel" to physically block the fighting. “I won’t have the intelligence officer knock on my door to tell me Matan was murdered,” she stated, urging public support to form a human chain around affected communities to prevent further attacks and protect the captives.
The Forum also criticized the Israeli Occupation government for misleading the public by claiming that renewed military actions were meant to pressure Hamas into releasing captives. “This is a complete deception,” they said, asserting that “military pressure endangers both hostages and soldiers.”
The forum has called for an immediate return to the ceasefire and organized a spontaneous demonstration near the Knesset in Jerusalem. Freed captive Emily Damari, who was released during a previous ceasefire, shared her distress on social media, saying, “So many things are running through my mind, and I don’t know how to express them – but my heart is mainly broken, shattered, and disappointed.”
Dani Miran, whose son Omri is among the captives, voiced his deep concerns over the renewed attacks. “It’s horrifying. Every hostage who has returned described their greatest fear as Israeli bombings—they felt them up close. As long as my son and others are still there, the fear is overwhelming,” he told Haaretz.
Miran criticized the lack of communication from officials, noting that his family had not heard from the military or the government since the resumption of attacks. He stressed the importance of continued negotiations, stating, “The other side needs time to reconsider; this must be resolved without war, without losing a single soldier.”
Meanwhile, Ima Era, a group of Israeli Occupation soldiers’ mothers, expressed concern about the timing of the government’s decision to resume military action. “Restarting combat less than 24 hours after dismissing the Shin Bet chief is deeply troubling,” the group stated. They condemned the government’s handling of the situation and vowed, “We will not allow our children to be body armour for a leadership that has lost the public’s trust.”
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, at least 400 Palestinians have been killed in a recent wave of brutal Israeli Occupation attacks across the Gaza Strip, with the number expected to rise as many remain in critical condition or trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), which has enforced a total blockade of Gaza, has also issued new forced displacement orders for several areas.
Hamas described "Israel's" actions as a “treacherous” attack on vulnerable civilians, accusing the government of seeking to overturn the ceasefire deal.

Captive families say “Israel has abandoned hostages” as Gaza attacks resume
Released captives and the families of those still held captive by Hamas voiced their fears Tuesday in response to 'Israel's' renewed airstrikes on Gaza.
As reported by the Jerusalem Post many are concerned about the safety of the remaining captives and the impact the military escalation could have on efforts to secure their release.
"The return to fighting means that the State of Israel decided to give up on the hostages," said Udi Goren, whose cousin, Tal Haimi, remains in Hamas's custody, his body still being held by the group.
Speaking to The Jerusalem Post, Goren expressed frustration, claiming that "Israel" is making the wrong decision by prioritizing other military objectives over the safe return of the captives.

A Hamas official told AFP Tuesday that the group was "working with mediators to curb the aggression", after “Israel” unleashed its deadliest strikes since a ceasefire took effect in January.
"Hamas adhered to the ceasefire agreement and implemented it precisely, but the Israeli occupation reneged on its commitment and reversed it by resuming aggression and war," the official told AFP, adding that "Hamas and the resistance factions are in constant session to assess the situation and working with mediators to curb the aggression."
So far, Hamas has not responded to the “Israeli” strikes.
Strikes in Gaza “new phase of genocide policy”: Turkey

"The massacre of hundreds of Palestinians in Israel's attacks on Gaza... demonstrates that the Netanyahu government's genocide policy has entered a new phase," the foreign ministry said in a statement.
Hamas: "Israel" fabricates lies to justify Gaza genocide
Hamas condemned recent actions by "Israeli" forces and issued a solemn tribute to key figures in Gaza's government.
The group reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the ceasefire agreement until the last moment but accused "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reportedly facing internal political crises, of reigniting the conflict instead of seeking peace.
The group emphasized that "Israel's" actions have led to unnecessary violence, alleging that Netanyahu chose war despite the potential for dialogue.
Hamas also mourned several prominent Gaza officials who lost their lives in the ongoing violence, including:
- Issam al-Dalis, Head of Government Work Follow-up in Gaza
- Ahmed al-Hatta, Deputy Minister of Justice in Gaza
- Major General Mahmoud Abu Wafah, Deputy Minister of the Interior
- Major General Bahjat Abu Sultan, Director-General of the Internal Security Service
The statements also accused the Israeli Occupation of violating the ceasefire agreement, calling "Israel’s" actions a betrayal.
Hamas highlighted the ongoing massacres of Gaza civilians, which have been met with disturbing silence from the international community.
Hamas further denied "Israeli" claims of preparing to attack "Israeli" forces, labeling the accusations as baseless and fabricated. The group described these claims as excuses to justify Israel's escalation of violence.
Medical crisis deepens as hospitals shut down, says Gaza health official
The Director-General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza provided a distressing update on the worsening situation.
The official condemned the "Israeli" airstrikes as a brutal betrayal, with many civilians, particularly women and children, falling victim to the violence.
"Israeli forces betrayed the people of Gaza by launching savage airstrikes while they were asleep," the Director-General said, calling the attacks a violation of civilians' safety.
The official reported that most of the victims were women and children, emphasizing the heavy toll on innocent lives. "The scale of the tragedy is overwhelming, and we urgently need support," they added.
The Ministry of Health has called for immediate blood donations across Gaza as medical resources are running low. "We urge all citizens to donate blood urgently," the Director-General appealed, stressing the dire need for medical supplies.
Many victims are still trapped under rubble, with time critical to save them. "A significant number of casualties remain buried, and immediate action is needed," the official said.
The crisis has worsened due to a severe shortage of medical supplies. "We face a critical shortage in all categories of medical resources," the Director-General revealed. "The death toll is expected to rise because of this lack of medical capabilities."
With 25 out of 38 hospitals in Gaza non-operational due to the airstrikes, the health crisis is deepening. "Nearly two-thirds of our hospitals are no longer functioning," the official stated, stressing the urgent need for field hospitals to address the overwhelming number of casualties.
"We are in desperate need of field hospitals to care for the injured and stabilize the situation," the Director-General concluded, calling for immediate international assistance to ease the suffering in Gaza.
Smotrich, Ben-Gvir praise renewed strikes on Gaza as 'moral', 'powerful' step
"Israeli" politicians have voiced strong reactions following the "Israeli" Air Force's (IAF) renewed strikes on Gaza late Monday night, marking an escalation in the ongoing aggression.
The strikes have reignited debate within "Israeli" political circles regarding the best approach to the crisis.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich expressed his support for the military actions, emphasizing that "Israel's" goal remains the complete dismantling of Hamas.
In a tweet, Smotrich stated, "Whoever does to us what Hamas did on Simchat Torah will be destroyed." He described the renewed military strikes as a crucial step in the effort to destroy Hamas, secure the return of all captives, and eliminate the threat posed by Gaza.
Smotrich further noted that the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) had been preparing for this moment in recent weeks, following the appointment of the new chief of staff.
"It’s a gradual process, and with God’s help, it will look completely different from what has been done so far," Smotrich added, reaffirming "Israel's" commitment to achieving its objectives in Gaza.
Itamar Ben-Gvir, head of the far-right Otzma Yehudit party, also strongly supported the military action. He referred to the renewed fighting as a necessary and "moral" step to destroy Hamas and return "Israeli" captives.
Ben-Gvir has been a vocal critic of any peace deal with Hamas that involves halting military operations. In January, he and his party left the coalition in protest of an agreement involving a ceasefire, accusing it of undermining the IOF's efforts and surrendering to Hamas.
Education Minister Yoav Kisch echoed Ben-Gvir’s sentiments, stating bluntly, "Release the hostages or hellfire. Now."
However, not all political figures agreed with the course of action. Yair Golan, leader of the opposition Democratic Camp party, criticized the renewed military strikes as a diversionary tactic by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Golan argued that Netanyahu’s focus on military action was an attempt to shift attention away from the recent dismissal of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar.
"The soldiers on the front lines and the hostages in Gaza are just cards in his game of survival," Golan claimed. "Netanyahu is using the lives of our citizens and soldiers because he fears public protest over the Shin Bet chief’s dismissal."
"Israeli" army warns residents to evacuate areas in Gaza
The "Israeli" army issued an urgent warning today to residents in several areas of the Gaza Strip, urging them to immediately evacuate to the western areas of Gaza City and Khan Younis, warning that these areas have become "dangerous combat zones."
According to the warning distributed by the Israeli military, the targeted areas include Beit Hanoun, Khuza'a, Abasan al-Kabira, and Abasan al-Jadida, claiming that a "strong" attack has begun against what it described as "terrorist organizations."
The warning emphasized that staying in these areas "puts the lives of residents and their families at risk."
Gaza factions accuse Netanyahu of "sacrificing" captives by resuming war
Palestinian factions in Gaza have accused "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of "sacrificing" captives in the region following his decision to resume military operations in Gaza.
This comes despite ongoing negotiations aimed at securing the release of captives and detainees held in "Israeli" custody.
The factions expressed their outrage, stating that Netanyahu’s decision to escalate the conflict jeopardized the lives of the captives.
The resumption of hostilities, they argue, undermines efforts for a peaceful resolution and directly endangers those being held.
