'Israel' shows Palestinian detainees Gaza destruction video before release

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) and the Prison Service (IPS) have reportedly produced a three-minute video highlighting the devastation in the Gaza Strip to be shown to Palestinian political prisoners before their release.

Their release is part of the first phase of a ceasefire deal between 'Israel' and Hamas.

The video is intended to showcase the heavy toll of the ongoing aggression in Gaza, with many detainees, who have had limited access to media during their incarceration, witnessing the destruction for the first time.

The video allegedly aims not only to inform the political prisoners about the destruction but also to "serve as a deterrent." According to Hebrew reports, some detainees have been visibly shocked by the footage, with one allegedly fainting upon viewing it.

In addition to the video, 'Israel' conducted raids in the West Bank ahead of the release, targeting the homes of detainees scheduled to be freed. The military also cautioned detainees against celebrating the release of their family members.

The Palestinian political prisoners set to be released on Saturday are part of a larger effort to fulfill the terms of the ongoing ceasefire agreement, which has seen international efforts to secure long-term peace in Gaza.

As part of the fifth round of the ceasefire and prisoner deal with Hamas, "Israel" will release 183 Palestinian political prisoners on Saturday.
