Fourth Hamas-”Israel” prisoner swap under Gaza deal

The fourth round of prisoner swaps between Hamas and “Israel” as part of the Gaza ceasefire deal will take place today, Saturday.

Hamas is expected to release Ofer Calderon, 54 years old; Keith Siegel, 65; and Yarden Bibas, 35.

In return, 183 Palestinian detainees will be freed by “Israel”, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS).

In the last exchange on Thursday, Hamas released three “Israeli” captives and five Thai workers, and “Israel” released 110 Palestinians.

Footage taken early Saturday showed Hamas fighters setting up stages in Khan Youniس and the Gaza port areas where the Red Cross will come in later and receive the captives.

“Israel” demands information from mediators on Bibas family after father's release

“Israel” on Saturday demanded information from mediators who brokered a ceasefire in Gaza over the fate of three family members of freed captive Yarden Bibas.

"The Bibas family... has been living in constant fear for their lives for a long time... We continue to demand information about their condition from the mediators," said Gal Hirsch, Israel's hostage coordinator, in a statement, referring to Bibas's wife and two children who remain in Gaza.

'Israeli' army admits "intelligence error" on assassination claim

Israeli Occupation army issued an official statement acknowledging that the intelligence used to declare the assassination of Al-Qassam Brigades' Beach Battalion commander in December 2023 was inaccurate.

The army stated that Haitham Al-Hawajri, the battalion commander, was targeted in an airstrike on Dec. 3, 2023. Following the strike, intelligence suggested a high probability of his elimination, leading to an official announcement.

However, after Hawajri's appearance in the fourth captive release, the army issued a statement admitting that "the intelligence assessments from the Shin Bet, Military Intelligence, and Southern Command were incorrect, and Hawajri was not killed in the strike."

Freed Palestinians arrive in Betunia, West Bank

A bus carrying 25 released Palestinian political prisoners from “Israeli” jails as part of the fourth exchange round has arrived in the West Bank city of Beitunia.

The detainees departed from the Israeli “Ofer Prison” in the West Bank after three “Israeli” captives were handed over by Hamas in Gaza in a fourth such exchange agreed under the ceasefire deal.

A total of 183 detainees will be released today, a number of them will be “deported” to Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar.
