Prime Minister Jafar Hassan has officially launched the first phase of the Marsa Zayed project in Aqaba.

The project, developed by MAG Holding Group on behalf of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, is being carried out in collaboration with the Aqaba Development Corporation.

The event was attended by UAE Minister of Investment and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi.

Spanning a vast area of 3.2 million square meters, the Marsa Zayed project’s first phase focuses on developing the Marsa Zayed Riviera, a key development in Aqaba’s coastal area.

The plan includes the construction of four residential towers, along with a marina district that will feature a fully integrated residential complex.

This complex will comprise 1,260 housing units and 117 retail shops, alongside a hotel and serviced apartments with a total capacity of 360 rooms.

The first phase will also see the revitalization of the Old Market area, which will host 50 retail shops, as well as the renovation of the Aqaba Port lighthouse. Additionally, the development will include a yacht club and marina, along with a dedicated terminal for cruise ships.

This ambitious project is set to transform Aqaba’s waterfront, boosting the region’s economy and enhancing its tourism and residential offerings.

The collaboration between Jordan, the UAE, and key development partners highlights the shared commitment to the growth and modernization of Aqaba’s infrastructure.
