Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa to address nation tonight

Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa will deliver a speech to the Syrian people on Thursday evening.

This comes after Colonel Hassan Abdel Ghani, spokesperson for Syria’s military operations administration, announced the inauguration of Ahmed Al-Sharaa as the President of Syria during the transitional phase. He will carry out presidential duties and represent Syria in international forums.

Abdel Ghani also declared that December 8 as a national day to commemorate this historic victory.

Additionally, several key decisions were announced for the new phase, including the cancellation of the 2012 Constitution and the suspension of all exceptional laws previously in place.
