Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei attended the funeral of two senior Supreme Court judges, Mohammad Moghiseh and Ali Razini, who were assassinated in Tehran the previous day.

The ceremony, held in the capital, was marked by heightened security and widespread speculation regarding Khamenei's attire.

Observers noted that Khamenei appeared bulkier than usual during the funeral prayers, with some heavily speculating he might have been wearing a bulletproof vest.

Analyst Jason Brodsky commented on social media, "Khamenei looked a bit chunkier than usual today when he was praying over the bodies of the two judges in Iran who were killed yesterday. Bulletproof vest? If so, that's pretty revealing as to the paranoia in the regime as this was a ceremony held with judiciary officials."

The assassinations of Judges Moghiseh and Razini have left Iranian authorities searching for motives, with Judiciary spokesperson Asghar Jahangir suggesting that their involvement in national security cases, including espionage and terrorism, could be a factor.

The both had decades-long histories of handing down death sentences and lengthy prison terms to dissidents in numerous cases – according to reports.

The lack of clarity has fueled public speculation and concerns about potential civil unrest.

Khamenei, as Iran's supreme leader, is considered a highly targeted figure and typically maintains strict security measures, and wearing a bulletproof vest could signal Iran’s apprehensions following the recent high-profile assassinations.
