Child drowns in swimming pool in Jericho

A two-year-old child from Ramallah drowned in a swimming pool inside a villa in Jericho on Sunday.

Colonel Luai Zureiqat, the spokesperson for the Palestinian police, said that the police operations room received a report of the child's arrival at Jericho Government Hospital on Saturday evening, following a drowning incident.

The child was in critical condition, and doctors later announced the child's death.

Colonel Zureiqat also mentioned that the Public Prosecution has been informed of the incident, and legal procedures are being completed as required.
