Netanyahu transferred to underground recovery unit after prostate surgery
Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regained consciousness after undergoing prostate surgery at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, his office announced on Sunday.
The procedure was completed without complications, and Netanyahu has been moved to a secure underground recovery wing. According to the statement, he is in good condition, fully conscious, and expected to remain under medical observation for several days.
Doctors performed the surgery after diagnosing a benign prostate enlargement. Professor Ofer Gofrit, head of the hospital's urology department, confirmed the operation went as planned.
This is not Netanyahu's first surgical procedure. In March, he underwent hernia repair surgery, and in July 2023, doctors implanted a pacemaker.
