“Houthis more technologically advanced than perceived,” says “Israeli” official to WP
The Houthis continue their ballistic missile and drone attacks targeting “Israel”, which particularly intensified in the last week.
“Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in response, vowed to the Yemeni group that they are “just getting started” in statements that came after airstrikes that targeted several key facilities in Yemen on Thursday, which included San’aa International Airport.
An “Israeli” official, speaking on the condition of anonymity to The Washington Post, laid out the challenges that “Israel” faces in dealing with the Houthis, which operate at around 2,000 kilometers away.

“The Houthis are more technologically advanced than perceived by many, and should not be underrated,” the official said to The Washington Post.
He added that the Iran-backed group took “practical steps” to pursue their ideology, which calls for the destruction of the United States and “Israel”.
Many Houthi drones and missiles have been able to evade the technologically advanced “Israeli” defense systems, and at times killing and injuring many.
The challenge “Israel” faces is the relatively low cost of the Houthis weapons stockpile in comparison to the massive costs of the “Israeli” air defense systems.
“The Houthis want a war of attrition on Israel, to continue firing so that they can say, ‘We are the real resistance,” said Yoel Guzansky to The Washington Post, a former official on “Israel’s” National Security Council.
“Because it’s so cheap for them to try to get a drone or a missile every few days or weeks into Israel, they can win this,” Guzansky said. “The question is now, how does Israel avoid falling into their trap?”
