Earthquake strikes north Algeria
A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck Chlef Province, west of Algeria’s capital, early Monday morning, according to the Algerian Center of Research in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Geophysics.

The tremor occurred at 1:09 AM local time, with its epicenter located 3 kilometers north of the Zebboudja municipality along the Mediterranean coast in Chlef Province, the center reported.
No casualties reported
Algeria's Civil Defense Authority stated that no immediate reports of casualties or damage had been received across the province's municipalities. Teams are continuing to monitor the situation closely.
