The Israeli occupation’s assault on Gaza reached its 433rd day, with 12 Palestinians killed and others injured in airstrikes targeting humanitarian aid personnel west of Khan Younis and Rafah.

Hamas strengthens its military capabilities

“Israeli” public broadcaster Kan reported, citing security officials, that Hamas has successfully rebuilt its infrastructure and strengthened its ranks in Gaza.

The group's enhanced military capabilities reportedly increase its ability to carry out operations against “Israel”, despite ongoing international pressure.

UN resolution calls for ceasefire

On the international front, the United Nations adopted a resolution supporting the mandate of UNRWA in Palestinian territories. The resolution also called for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire by all parties in Gaza.

Diplomatic developments

Amidst the conflict, diplomatic activity in the region has resumed. “Israeli” officials have hinted at a potential deal for a prisoner exchange and ceasefire.

Defense Minister Israel Katz expressed optimism about reaching a new agreement that could secure the release of all captives, including American nationals.

Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer has reached an understanding with US President-elect Donald Trump’s team.

The agreement reportedly aims to safeguard “Israeli” interests concerning Gaza following any prisoner swap, mirroring the approach taken with Lebanon.

“Israeli” airstrikes in Lebanon

Meanwhile, “Israeli” warplanes bombed towns in southern Lebanon, causing casualties and violating the ceasefire agreement. In response, the Lebanese army announced the deployment of additional troops in new positions in the town of Khiam.
