Israeli Occupation army claims assassinating Hezbollah rocket commander
Israeli Occupation army announced on Tuesday that it had assassinated Ali Tawfiq Al-Dweik, the commander of Hezbollah's medium-range rocket system.
In a statement, the army confirmed that "fighter jets of the Israeli Air Force conducted an operation on Monday in Kfar Jouz, southern Lebanon, under the direction of military intelligence and the northern command."
The statement added that the airstrike successfully targeted and eliminated Al-Dweik, who had been leading Hezbollah's medium-range rocket system since September 2024.
Al-Dweik reportedly succeeded the previous commander of the system, who was also killed earlier this year. The statement claimed that Al-Dweik was responsible for launching over 300 rockets towards 'Israeli' territories, including Haifa and central Tel Aviv.
Hezbollah did not comment on Israeli Occupation's statement.
