Jordan and Iraq faced off earlier on Thursday, in a march that ended in a scoreless draw, despite both teams generating multiple scoring opportunities.
Following this round, the fifth one, the group standings are as follows: South Korea leads with 13 points, followed by Jordan and Iraq with 8 points each, Oman with 6, Kuwait with 3, and Palestine with 2.
According to tournament rules, the top two teams from each of the three groups qualify directly for the World Cup. Teams finishing in third and fourth place will advance to the fourth round of qualifiers.
The qualification format divides teams into three groups, each consisting of six teams. The top two teams from each group will secure a direct spot in the World Cup, while the third and fourth-placed teams will enter a fourth-round playoff for a chance to advance further in the qualification process.
