Israeli Occupation's aggression on Gaza enters 405th day
Israeli Occupation's ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip has reached its 405th day, with the humanitarian crisis continuing to worsen. Limited aid allowed into the enclave has failed to meet the needs of Gaza's residents, who face dire circumstances.
Local sources reported injuries among Palestinian civilians after an 'Israeli' drone targeted a school in Sheikh Radwan, west of Gaza City. The school was sheltering displaced families, exacerbating the already critical situation in the region.
In another development, 'Israeli' forces demolished several residential buildings west of Jabalia camp in northern Gaza, leading to further displacement and intensifying civilian suffering.
UN Condemns Blocked Aid
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in the occupied territories condemned the 'Israeli' authorities for blocking or hindering international efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. The ongoing restrictions have drawn widespread criticism from global humanitarian organizations.
Expansion of Military Infrastructure
Hebrew newspaper Haaretz revealed that the occupation forces have begun expanding their military infrastructure in Gaza, with plans to maintain a presence until at least the end of 2025. The expansion includes constructing roads, communication towers, and water, sewage, and electricity networks, indicating a long-term military strategy.
The report noted that the occupation is focusing on securing control over four key areas: northern Gaza, the Nitsarim corridor linking the central Strip's east and west, the Salah al-Din axis near the southern border with Egypt, and a buffer zone along the eastern border with Israeli Occupation.
Escalation on the Lebanese Front
Meanwhile, the Washington Post reported that 'Israeli' officials are planning a ceasefire agreement in Lebanon as part of their coordination with the new U.S. administration, describing it as a "gift for Trump."
Israeli Occupation warplanes launched two airstrikes on Beirut's southern suburbs, targeting the commercial area in Haret Hreik and Burj al-Barajneh. This brings the total number of airstrikes in the area to seven in the past few hours.
Operation Aqsa Typhoon
The escalation follows Operation Aqsa Typhoon launched by Hamas' military wing, Al-Qassam Brigades, on October 7, 2023. The operation was a response to the Israeli Occupation's violations in the occupied Palestinian territories.
In retaliation, the Israeli Occupation launched a wide-scale military operation dubbed "Iron Swords," resulting in tens of thousands of casualties and extensive damage to Gaza's infrastructure.
