Israeli Occupation Forces urge Netanyahu to negotiate ceasefire deals
"Israeli" Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant are intensifying their calls for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to negotiate a ceasefire agreement, Middle East Monitor reported.
According to reports from The Jerusalem Post, military leaders are advocating for a ceasefire, as they believe little more can be achieved through continued military operations. They have expressed frustration over the daily casualties among "Israeli" soldiers, with Halevi and Gallant reportedly urging Netanyahu to prioritize negotiations aimed at securing the return of 101 "Israeli" captives, both alive and deceased, held in Gaza.
During a recent officer graduation ceremony, both officials emphasized the urgency of addressing the captive situation. “Time is of the essence to return the hostages, which most officials now agree will only happen, if at all, through a deal of some kind with Hamas,” they stated.
The mounting pressure comes in the wake of "Israeli" Army Radio confirming that 87 "Israelis" were killed in October alone, including 64 members of the armed forces and 23 civilians. These fatalities occurred across various fronts due to missile fire, rocket barrages, and clashes on the battlefield.
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continues its offensive in the Gaza Strip for the second consecutive year. The ongoing airstrikes have targeted hospitals, residential buildings, and civilian homes, leading to widespread destruction and loss of life. Access to essential supplies, including water, food, medicine, and fuel, remains severely restricted.
