Jordan evacuates 12 more citizens from Lebanon on Royal Air Force flight
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced today the evacuation of 12 Jordanian citizens from Lebanon, carried out via a Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) military aircraft.
This comes in line with royal directives to ensure the safe return of Jordanian nationals from Lebanon.
The aircraft arrived at Rafic Hariri International Airport today, delivering humanitarian aid to the Lebanese people. It marks the 10th Jordanian aid flight, carrying food, relief supplies, medicine, and medical equipment.
Ministry spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Qudah, stated that this is the fourth evacuation flight for Jordanians residing or present in Lebanon.
The operation is part of a coordinated plan involving the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, security agencies, the Ministry of Interior, and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management.
The goal is to secure the safe return of Jordanians from Lebanon amidst the ongoing “Israeli” aggression.
So far, a total of 102 Jordanians who registered on the embassy’s special evacuation platform have been flown out by the RJAF.
Qudah added that since the beginning of August, 3,305 Jordanians have returned to the Kingdom from Lebanon via Queen Alia International Airport, with additional numbers arriving overland through the Jaber Border Crossing.
The Jordanian Embassy in Beirut, in coordination with the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), has been working with Middle East Airlines to arrange additional flights to the Kingdom and allocate special seats for Jordanians wishing to return. The embassy is also facilitating land travel through Syria for those preferring that route.
Qudah emphasized that the joint crisis cell, made up of various state agencies, continues its efforts to evacuate Jordanians from Lebanon, in coordination with Lebanese authorities.
He assured that the Jordanian Embassy is in constant contact with the Jordanian community, and no injuries have been reported. He also expressed his gratitude to Lebanon for assisting in the evacuation of Jordanian citizens through Rafic Hariri International Airport.
Qudah renewed his call for Jordanians in Lebanon wishing to leave to register immediately on the evacuation platform through the following link: https://mfa.gov.jo/ar/embassy/Beirut/BeirutForm.
