US reports uncover plans for potential 'Israeli' ground invasion of Lebanon
"Israeli" officials informed Washington of plans to conduct limited military operations in several villages along the border with Lebanon, according to reports from The Washington Post.
On Monday, a US official indicated that the US and Israeli Occupation have reached an understanding to avoid a repeat of the extensive military actions seen in Gaza when addressing the situation in Lebanon. The official noted that Israeli Occupation has scaled back its initial plans for a large ground invasion, shifting its focus to targeted efforts aimed at destroying rocket launch sites.
In parallel, the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the "Israeli" military is exerting political pressure for the approval of a ground operation in Lebanon.
The Pentagon also stated it is closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East, with an emphasis on protecting US forces and ensuring the security of Israeli Occupation amidst the rising tensions.
