Former US President and current presidential candidate Donald Trump claimed that he has heard that Tel Aviv will be attacked by Iran Monday night, Aug. 5.

This comes as US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller announced on Monday that the United States has sent diplomatic messages to Iran, warning that escalating tensions in the Middle East is not in their interest and that the US will defend Tel Aviv.

In related news, Hebrew media reported ongoing preparations for an immediate Iranian attack that could be launched at any moment.

Miller also stated that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke on Monday with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty about the rising tensions in the region.

He urged all parties involved to seek ways to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, rather than focusing on delays or refusals.

Meanwhile, the United States has deployed additional fighter jets to the region in support of Israeli Occupation following reports that Iran may respond as early as Monday to the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh.

Iran, for its part, has blamed Israeli Occupation for Haniyeh’s assassination and vowed to retaliate. The killing of Haniyeh occurred just hours after an Israeli Occupation airstrike on Beirut's southern suburb, which resulted in the death of prominent Hezbollah leader Fouad Shaker.
