Minister of Education announces Tawjihi results date

The Minister of Education, Azmi Mahafzah, said that Tawjihi results in Jordan will be announced next Thursday, August 8 - according to the Jordan News Agency (Petra).

Students can easily check their results by following these steps:

1. Visit the Jordanian Ministry of Education website or the official Tawjihi Jo site at www.tawjihi.jo.
2. Select the student results services section on the site.
3. Click on the link to check Tawjihi Jordan 2024 results.

Dr. Mustafa Al-Afouri, a mathematics professor, detailed the method used to calculate Tawjihi averages. 

For students in the scientific branch, marks in general culture subjects such as Arabic, English, Islamic culture, and Jordanian history are scaled from 200 to 140 marks each, totaling 560 marks for these subjects. 

Meanwhile, scientific subjects like Mathematics are adjusted from 200 to 280 marks. For subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, marks are considered from two out of three subjects, provided the student passes the third subject, totaling 840 marks across these subjects. 

Including the 560 marks from general culture subjects, the overall total can reach 1400 marks.

"When a student scores 1300 marks," explained Afouri, "their total is divided by the overall total of 1400 marks. For instance, dividing 1300 by 1400 results in an average of 92.85 out of 100, which represents the Tawjihi average."

This grading mechanism applies uniformly across all branches of the Tawjihi examination, ensuring consistency in evaluating students' academic achievements, whether in literary or scientific disciplines.
