An “Israeli” soldier has succumbed today to his wounds sustained last week in Rafah, south Gaza – a statement by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said today.

He is identified as Sergeant Yonatan Aharon Greenblatt, 21 years old, of the Givati Brigade’s Shaked Battalion.

The soldier was hit by an anti-tank missile fired by Palestinian resistance at a building he was holed up in on Sunday, July 20 – after which he was taken to a hospital in critical conditions.

The total death toll of “Israeli” soldiers since the start of the ground invasion against the Gaza Strip has risen to 331.
