Tulkarm Governor clarifies incident between Palestinian security forces and resistance
Tulkarm Governor Mustafa Taqataqa clarified the events involving Palestinian security forces and resistance fighters during the arrival of Mohammad Jaber Abu Shuja, the leader of the Tulkarm Battalion of Saraya al-Quds, at Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital after being injured by an explosive device.
In a press statement, Taqataqa explained that an injured individual arrived at the hospital on Friday afternoon. Consequently, a security force was dispatched to investigate the incident as per standard procedures. Shortly after their arrival, the security forces were fired upon and responded in kind. Subsequently, a group of individuals attempted to storm the hospital, but the security forces intervened to maintain the safety of the hospital and its patients.
Taqataqa called for health institutions, especially Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, to be kept out of any conflicts, stressing that the hospital provides essential health services to citizens, especially in these difficult times for the Palestinian people.
He urged the public to disregard attempts to incite strife and tension in Tulkarm, particularly given the challenging circumstances and ongoing aggression against Palestinians. Taqataqa emphasized that the security forces withdrew without arresting anyone to protect Palestinian lives and maintain civil peace.
