Heatwave warning: Jordan to experience intense heat
The Jordan Meteorological Department has issued a warning to Jordanians about high temperatures expected in the Badiya, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba on Thursday and Friday.
According to the department, Thursday will see normal summer weather in the mountainous regions and plains, but hot conditions in the desert, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Some low clouds are expected in northern and central parts of the country, with moderate northwesterly winds that may occasionally become active.
At night, temperatures will be mild in most areas but relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with moderate northwesterly winds.
On Friday, the weather will remain typical summer conditions over the mountainous regions and plains, hot in the desert, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Low clouds are expected in northern and central regions, with moderate northwesterly winds that may occasionally intensify.
Friday night will bring pleasant temperatures to most areas, with relatively warm conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, accompanied by moderate northwesterly winds.
