Jordan summoned the Dutch ambassador to Amman on Thursday evening to lodge a “strong message of protest” to his government following remarks by Dutch far-right politician Geert Wilders – a statement by the Foreign Ministry said just now.

Wilders' comments aligned with the condemned “Israeli” Knesset decision, which denies the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people to their independent and sovereign state on their national soil. His statements reflect a racist stance that falsely assumes the Palestinian issue can be resolved at Jordan's expense – the statement added.

The ministry's spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Al-Qudah, stated that the Dutch ambassador was informed of the message, which demands that the Dutch government take a clear position condemning these statements that contradict the friendly and mutually respectful relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Al-Qudah emphasized that the inciting statements made by this racist parliamentarian hold no legal value or impact, represent a violation of international law, and reflect a culture of racial hatred that must be combated.
