A 16-year-old boy died on Monday during a surgery to correct a deviated septum at a private hospital in Amman, according to a police source.
The source told Roya that complications arose during the operation, leading to the boy's death. The family of the deceased reported the incident to the public prosecutor.
In response, the public prosecutor ordered the detention of six doctors at the security center and initiated legal action against them.
The Public Prosecutor also directed that the body be sent to the National Center for Forensic Medicine to determine the exact cause of death. A medical report will be prepared, based on which further legal steps will be taken and charges filed against the involved doctors.
