“Deal with Hamas would be humiliation, victory for Sinwar,” says Smotrich
“Israeli” Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich said today that striking a deal with Hamas would spell “defeat and humiliation for Israel and victory for Yahya Sinwar.”
Smotrich made his comments ahead of the departure of the “Israeli” negotiating team to Cairo and Doha in efforts to advance the talks for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal between Hamas and the Israeli Occupation.
Speaking at a weekly meeting of the “Religious Zionist Party” which he chairs, Smotrich claimed that the deal currently being negotiation will “sentence to death 90 hostages who are not part of the deal and it will lead to thousands of murdered people who will die in the next massacre by Sinwar and Hamas.”
“This is the picture we will see in Gaza if we, God forbid, sign this irresponsible deal,” he said holding up a poster of Hamas Chief in Gaza Yahya Sinwar flashing victory signs.
“Mr. Prime Minister, this is not an absolute victory. This is complete failure,” he added.
“We will not be part of a deal to surrender to Hamas,” he continues.
