Israeli Occupation admits officer, three soldiers killed in Rafah ambush

The Israeli Occupation Army announced Tuesday the death of an officer and three soldiers, with others injured in battles in southern Gaza.

The Israeli Occupation's statement, permitted for publication, confirmed that Major Tal Bashbilski Shaulov, 24, from Gedera, a company commander in the Givati Patrol, was killed in combat in southern Gaza.

Additionally, Sergeant Eitan Carlsbron, 20, from Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut, a fighter in the Givati Patrol, was also killed in the battle.

The statement noted that Sergeant Almog Shalom, 19, from Kibbutz Hamadia, and Sergeant Yair Levin, 19, from Givat Har'el, both Givati Patrol trainees, were killed in the same battle.

Hebrew media reported that the officer and three soldiers died in an explosion of a booby-trapped building in the Shaboura neighborhood of Rafah.

Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced Monday that they had detonated a booby-trapped house occupied by Israeli Occupation Forces in the Shaboura camp in Rafah, resulting in multiple casualties. They claimed to have targeted the rescue force with mortar shells as it arrived at the scene.
