Israeli Occupation's aggression in Gaza reaches 249th day, Gaza burns as UN calls for ceasefire
The Israeli Occupation continued its aggression on Gaza for the 249th day, carrying out more massacres and acts of genocide against civilians. The airstrikes across the strip resulted in 37,124 Palestinians martyred and 84,712 injured.
The UN Security Council adopted a US-backed resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and the unconditional implementation of the deal. The resolution was approved with 14 votes in favor and one abstention. It called for a permanent ceasefire, complete withdrawal from Gaza, prisoner exchange, reconstruction, and the return of displaced persons, rejecting any demographic changes in the region.
The Hamas movement welcomed the UN resolution for a permanent ceasefire and the complete withdrawal of the Israeli Occupation from Gaza.
