Foreign Ministry releases statement following deaths of Jordanian citizens in Saudi Arabia

The Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, through the Jordanian Embassy in Riyadh, is closely monitoring the deaths of two Jordanian citizens following a car accident involving a Jordanian family on the Jouf-Hail road south of Dumat Al-Jandal in Saudi Arabia today.

The accident resulted in the death of the wife and one child, and injuries to the husband and four other children.

Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Al-Qudah, Director of the Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs, stated that the directorate, through the Jordanian Embassy in Riyadh, is coordinating with the relevant Saudi authorities and the hospital where the deceased and injured were taken to address the situation of the Jordanian family. They have also begun procedures to repatriate the bodies as quickly as possible, based on the wishes of their relatives.

Ambassador Al-Qudah expressed his deepest condolences to the family and their relatives, and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
