Amman Bus Rapid Transit service extends to support national team against Tajikistan

The Greater Amman Municipality extended the Amman Bus service hours to midnight on Thursday to accommodate fans attending the national football team's crucial match against Tajikistan. This move was part of an effort to support the national team during the fifth and penultimate round of Group 7 in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

The national team faced Tajikistan at 8:30 PM at Amman Stadium. At that point in the qualifiers, Saudi Arabia led the group with 10 points, followed by Jordan with 7 points and Tajikistan with 5, while Pakistan had yet to score. The outcome of Thursday's game was vital for Jordan, which needed a win to secure advancement. A victory would ensure their progression, a draw would complicate their chances, and a defeat would almost eliminate them from contention. Jordan's final group match is set against Saudi Arabia next Tuesday in Saudi Arabia.
