French footballer Kylian Mbappé signed a five-year contract on Monday to join Real Madrid on a free transfer when his Paris St-Germain (PSG) deal expires on June 30.

Shortly after the announcement was made, Mbappé posted a photo on social media of his younger self wearing a Real Madrid jacket, with the caption, “A dream come true, So happy and proud to join the club of my dream @realmadrid Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. Can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thanks for your unbelievable support. ¡Hala Madrid!”

This move would be the end of his 7-year partnership with PSG.

Mbappé will move to Spain when the La Liga transfer window opens on 1 July.
