The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, condemned the rising violence in the West Bank, saying that it “unfathomable” that more than 500 Palestinians were killed since the events of Oct. 7, 2023.

"As if the tragic events in Israel and then Gaza over the past eight months were not enough, the people of the occupied West Bank are also being subjected to day-after-day of unprecedented bloodshed," Türk said in a statement.

"It is unfathomable that so many lives have been taken in such a wanton fashion."

The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades – affiliated with the Fatah – reported earlier today the martyrdom of two of its members during clashes with the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in Tulkarm in the West Bank.

The IOF raided several cities in the West Bank early on Tuesday, leading to clashes in Tulkarm. Additionally, they raided the cities of Nablus and Qalqilya in the northern West Bank.

Meanwhile, the IOF claimed to have eliminated gunmen who attempted to carry out a shooting attack targeting settlements in Tulkarm.

Palestinian sources reported the martyrdom of the two young men, Abdel Fattah Salah al-Din Jabara and Ahmed Mustafa Rajab, from the Tulkarm refugee camp by the occupation's gunfire near the gates of Nitzanei Oz settlement west of the city.
