Labor Ministry issues clarification on June 9 holiday

Ministry of Labor confirmed Sunday that Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh declared a suspension of work for all ministries, official departments, public institutions and bodies, public universities, municipalities, joint services councils, and companies wholly owned by the government on Sunday, June 9.

This day marks a national holiday in Jordan, celebrating the accession of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein to the throne and the silver jubilee of his constitutional reign.

This suspension also applies to private sector workers.

This announcement is part of the celebrations for the national events occurring in Jordan.
