Turkish President Recep Erdogan, following the deadly “Israeli” airstrikes on the city of Rafah, called Benjamin Netanyahu a “psychopath” and a “vampire that feeds on blood”.

In a speech to legislators from the Justice and Development Party (AKP), Erdogan said that the United States and European countries are responsible for the deaths in the Gaza Strip.

Erdogan also slammed the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for not coming to a consensus to take action against the Israeli Occupation.

“Oh, the American state, this blood is on your hands also. You are responsible for this genocide at least as much as Israel. Oh, the heads of state and government of Europe, you are also a party to Israel’s genocide, this barbarism, this vampire-like act of Israel, because you remained silent,” Erdogan said.

The Rafah strike that killed 45 Palestinians was described as a “tragic mishap” by “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netnayah, further claiming that their forces “took every precaution possible” before the strike in order to protect civilians.

"We are investigating the incident and will reach conclusions because this is our policy,” he said yesterday.

The probe’s results released yesterday by the IOF say that it suspects “munitions or other combustible substance it was unaware of caused a secondary explosion” which made the fire spread to the camps housing displaced Palestinians.

It further claimed that the strike did not take place in the area designated as “safe” by the IOF, and that it was over a kilometer away from the humanitarian zone.

The IOF’s Spokesperson Daniel Hagari said that “The strike was based on precise intelligence that indicated that [Hamas fighters]… were meeting inside this structure we targeted [in Rafah],” Hagari said.

“Sadly, following the strike, due to unforeseen circumstances, a fire ignited, taking the lives of Gazan civilians nearby.

The 45 civilians killed in the “Israeli” strike was a “devastating incident, which we did not expect,” Hagari further claimed.

“We are investigating what caused the fire that resulted in this tragic loss of life. An investigation is ongoing,” he says.
