The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned today the war crimes committed by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in the Gaza Strip, the latest being the striking of a Rafah tent camp near the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) west of Rafah on Sunday.

The attack is a blatant defiance of the decisions of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and a serious violation of international law and humanitarian law – the statement sid.

Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Sufian Qudah stated on Monday that Jordan unequivocally condemns and denounces these acts and crimes, which constitute a blatant violation of the principles of international law and humanitarian law, contradicting all human and moral values, and represent war crimes against the international community as a whole.

He called for immediate and effective action by the international community to compel the Israeli occupation to be held accountable for its practices and to stop its ongoing and continuous violations of international law and humanitarian law, ensuring protection for innocent civilians in Gaza and for relief organizations and their staff, especially UNRWA, which plays a significant humanitarian role in providing assistance and services to Palestinian brothers in the occupied Palestinian territories, including the Gaza Strip.
