10 women workers killed in Egypt after bus plunges into Nile River

Egypt’s Health Ministry said today that at least 10 people have died after a minibus plunged off a river ferry into the Nile river north of Cairo.

"The toll is at 10 and might rise," Ministry’s Spokesperson Hossam Abdelghaffar told Agence France-Presse (AFP),

The driver, who had released the handbrake, was arrested while trying to flee the scene – according to Egyptian Al-Ahram newspaper, who first reported the story.
