Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, held a phone call on Monday with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Ali Bagheri Kani.

During the call, Safadi and Kani affirmed their commitment to continuing the dialogue between the two countries to resolve outstanding issues and build cooperative relations based on mutual respect, serving their interests and enhancing cooperation, security, and stability in the region.

Safadi conveyed King Abdullah II’s condolences to the leadership, people, and government of Iran on the death of President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and their companions, who died early today in a helicopter crash, according to a statement from the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Safadi expressed condolences and sympathy on behalf of the Kingdom to the Iranian people, their leadership, and government, emphasizing Jordan’s solidarity with them in this difficult time.
