Iranian President's death raises questions: planned assassination or accident?
The head of the Iranian Red Crescent announced the discovery of the wreckage of the helicopter that was carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation in East Azerbaijan Province, located in the northeastern part of Iran.
Iranian media reported that all passengers on the helicopter, including President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, were killed.
Reports also indicated that some of the bodies were burned, making identification difficult.
