'Israeli' media reveals disagreements on Gaza exchange deal

An "Israeli" official involved in the negotiations: "Tel Aviv will not agree to end the war as part of any deal with Hamas"

Hebrew Channel 13 revealed the points of disagreement on the anticipated exchange deal between Hamas and Tel Aviv, despite progress in negotiations, according to media reports.

The Hebrew channel reported that Hamas demands written guarantees confirming Tel Aviv's cessation of the war on the Gaza Strip at the end of the negotiation stages.

The channel added that Hamas rejects Tel Aviv's demand to prevent the return of detainees to the West Bank, and Hamas demands the mediators (Egypt and Qatar) for clarifications on the types of materials allowed to be imported for the reconstruction of the sector.

"Israeli" media said on Saturday that Tel Aviv would not agree to end the war as part of any potential deal with Hamas, contrary to what is being circulated.

The official "Israeli" Broadcasting Corporation quoted an "Israeli" official involved in the negotiations as saying that Tel Aviv "will not agree to end the war as part of any deal with Hamas."

The official added, "The army will enter Rafah whether there is a truce to release the detainees or not."

Channel 12 Hebrew said on Saturday that there is great optimism that Hamas will provide a positive response later on Saturday to the Egyptian proposal, after the United States, through Egypt and Qatar, pledged that the army would completely withdraw from the Gaza Strip and stop the war at the end of 124 days, the duration of the truce, which an "Israeli" source denied.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faces increasing pressure not to accept a deal leading to the end of the war and the cancellation of the military operation in Rafah, and previously Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir threatened to dissolve the government if this happened.

Earlier on Saturday, the "Cairo News Channel" quoted a high-level source, whose name was not mentioned, stating that a Hamas delegation arrived in Cairo, noting "significant progress" in the Gaza truce negotiations.
