The Public Security Directorate managed on Friday night to contain disturbances in Baqaa camp, which involved acts such as setting fires to property, obstructing roads, and attempting to assault security personnel by throwing stones and bottles at them.

The riots occurred amidst protests in Al-Baqaa camp, where residents expressed solidarity with Gaza and denounced the aggression against the Strip.

Public Security released footage showing the extent of damage caused to public property during the unrest.

Under the Jordanian Penal Code, individuals involved in rioting or causing damage to public or private property can face penalties ranging from one week to three years.
