“Israeli” forces carried out extrajudicial executions at Al-Shifa Hospital, Euro-Med Monitor reveals

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor revealed in its latest report that the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) carried out “deliberate killings, extrajudicial executions, communication cutoffs, and intense shelling targeting areas and homes surrounding the al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza.”

The Monitor confirmed that the IOF used civilians in Gaza "as human shields, strip-searched them, raided residential homes, conducted arbitrary arrests, and tortured residents, including women and children."

Euro-Med Monitor’s team documented the IOF’s execution of an elderly man "Fareej Wasef Al-Halaw" while he was present at the courtyard of the al-Shifa Medical Complex after being shot and left deliberately bleeding for several hours without receiving any medical assistance to save his life - Al-Halaw suffered from several diseases, including Alzheimer's.

The Monitor received testimonies indicating the torture and abuse of wounded Palestinians receiving treatment inside the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, in addition to besieging them and keeping them without treatment or food, dragging them on the ground, and leaving them lying in front of tanks without clarifying their fate.

The siege of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex by the IOF continues for the fifth consecutive day, amidst increasing pleas from the families of patients and the injured after being left without treatment or medical care.
