The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has expressed disappointment over the lack of concrete outcomes from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's recent diplomatic endeavors in the region.

In a statement, the ministry criticized the ongoing aggression by Tel Aviv against the Palestinian people despite repeated diplomatic interventions.

Highlighting the grim reality of the situation, the ministry recounted the continuous atrocities committed against Palestinians, including bombings of civilian homes and facilities, starvation tactics, and the systematic destruction of Gaza. Despite Blinken's calls for an immediate ceasefire, the ministry noted that Tel Aviv has intensified its aggression with each diplomatic visit, leading to further civilian casualties and suffering.

The statement emphasized the failure of international efforts to hold the occupying state accountable for its actions, citing the ongoing siege of Gaza and the lack of adherence to resolutions by the Security Council and the International Court of Justice. The ministry underscored the urgent need for concrete actions to protect Palestinian civilians and address their humanitarian needs.

Calling for sustained international engagement, the ministry urged the UN Security Council to remain vigilant and develop a comprehensive roadmap with clear timelines. This roadmap, it suggested, should include provisions for a humanitarian ceasefire, the exchange of prisoners, and ultimately, the recognition of a sovereign Palestinian state within the United Nations.

Additionally, the ministry stressed the importance of genuine negotiations under international supervision to facilitate the retreat of Israeli Occupation Forces from Palestinian territories. It urged the international community to uphold its moral and legal responsibilities in promoting a just and lasting peace in the region.

As the Palestinian people continue to endure violence and oppression, the statement from the Foreign Ministry serves as a poignant reminder of the urgent need for meaningful action to end the cycle of aggression and pave the way for a peaceful resolution to the aggression.
